How it works:

1. Pick 2 projects (1 mental and 1 physical) that you want to try to do every day for 3 weeks (SCROLL DOWN FOR IDEAS).

    • Don’t be stressed!! These things can be big or small AND this is a continuous project, so you can try 2 new projects every month!!
    • I (Kendall) will be running each round and doing 2 projects that have been picked by the community if you want to join me that month and do 2 things that other people in our community are doing as well.

2. JOIN THE COMMUNITY

    • Sign up for the newsletter above to join the next round (rounds happen every month starting on the 1st Monday of the month)
    • Follow @ahungryhippie on instagram to get daily reminders, motivation, and engage with our growing community

3. Start on your own or wait for the next round to start!!!

    • A new round starts on the 1st Monday of every month!! So if you fall of the track, realize you don’t have time, or just want to try new things, you can always start again during the next month.

What you get:

1. TRUST + CONFIDENCE IN YOURSELF AND YOUR OWN WORD!!

2. A freaking awesome email on the Monday of every week of the challenge with links to resources, helpful tips, book/podcast recommendations, shout-outs of people kicking a** in the community, places to look for more inspiration, quotes, and more.

3. Access to a community of people who value failure, experimentation, pushing yourself, and caring for yourself.

4. Follow along on social media (you don’t even have to sign up 😉 ) to get daily motivation, inspiration, and to see others putting trust in themselves

YOU ARE MEANT TO FAIL, GET UP, FALL DOWN, HURT AND HEAL.

FAILURE DOES NOT EQUAL THE END, IT EQUALS OPPORTUNITY.

** no but really, rounds run every month- you can always try a new thing, try an old thing, or just have fun every, single, freaking month**

Ready to give it a try??!!

(don’t worry, it’s just an email- you’re not committing to anything life-changing (or are you???))

WHAT “PROJECTS” CAN YOU DO?

Literally anything!! Big, small, brief, time-consuming, deep, or not-so-deep. This project is meant to fit into everyone’s individual lifestyle allowing you do things that you have the time, energy, and excitement for.

** Every month you have the ability to push yourself, take a step back, or find somewhere in between- I would encourage you to do things that bring a mix of challenge, excitement, joy, and health (but what you pick is completely up to you!!)**

If you benefit from greater community involvement, you can also choose to do the 2 projects that I am leading every month (chosen by the community before every round)– if that sounds like you CLICK HERE to see what’s currently going on and to see what next round looks like.

MENTAL “PROJECT” IDEAS:

    • meditate
    • journal
    • express gratitude (vocally, gratitude walk, write)
    • phone limits (no screens 1st hour of day, no social media between X hours)
    • read 10 minutes
    • spend 10 minutes on a new skill
    • make time for 1 thing that brings you pure joy
    • reach out (call, text, see) to friends/family
    • make your bed
    • random act of kindness
    • declutter for 10 minutes
    • write down something you’re looking forward to

PHYSICAL “PROJECT” IDEAS:

    • drink X amount of water
    • cold plunge/shower
    • sauna
    • ideal bedtime routine (no screens, journal, read, drink tea, etc.)
    • ideal morning routine (morning walk, drink water, etc.)
    • daily movement
    • work towards a 10 minute plank
    • work towards a pull-up
    • handstand practice
    • yoga
    • eat 3 meals
    • see sunshine 30 minutes after waking

**Don’t worry, I know that the line between mental and physical gets blurry- but use those categories if it’s helpful and if not, just choose 2 that sounds good!!**

MY PHILOSOPHY:

Everywhere you turn, it seems like there’s a new challenge  that you have to do on social media (ever heard of Project 50 or 75 Hard?). Many of these challenges have a set of rules that you have to follow and if you miss out on one of those rules, you’ve failed. Focus is placed on progress photos, weight lost, and achieving perfection.

Now, don’t get me wrong, I think, if done correctly, these challenges can be a great way to experiment with different mental and physical habits, jumpstart a new lifestyle or just do something hard!

AND one of the best things I believe you can gain from those challenges is a greater sense of self trust and belief because you actually completed something that you said you would do.

SO- this is where Project Self Trust comes in.

This is a project that has been modeled with 1 goal in mind- to build trust in your own word to instill a belief that your time and energy matter.

Sure, there are bound to be other consequences– you get to experiment with new habits, potentially increase your physical and mental strength and meet a bunch of cool people doing the same. You also get to learn (through practice) that failure never means “the end”. Whether you build trust in yourself by training for a marathon, drinking a glass of water each morning, or getting outside every day- because yes, what you’re doing every day matters (hydration = happiness), but what matters even more is that you’re building integrity with yourself and with that inner voice inside. That integrity, once built, allows you to feel more confident, more at ease, and at peace with yourself.
